As I type, it is a mere 7 days, 2 hours and 30 minutes until I will be in possession of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. I’ve already pre-ordered my copy, opting to pay a £5 deposit at my local Tesco so that I can get a copy at the midnight release.
Technically I’m getting a bit too old for midnight releases (I’ll be 30 next year!) but given I run a YouTube channel it seems like a reasonable time investment as an early video might just snare a few new subscribers.
For those who can wait a little longer – until the postman arrives – the following should be of interest. Tesco is already the cheapest option for pre-ordering Black Ops 2, at £39.99, however you can save an additional £8 if you go via Quidco.
Quidco are offering 8% cash back on all purchases via Tesco Entertainment, plus £5 off any orders over £35. This means you can pre-order Black Ops 2 for just £34.99, a whole tenner less than you’d be paying at GAME. In addition, you will then receive £3.20 cash back meaning an effective price of just £31.79!
Click here to access the Quidco / Tesco Black Ops pre-order deal.
Don’t forget, anyone who pre-orders Black Ops 2 will receive a code allowing them to download Nuketown 2025 free of charge.
Now if you need something to do for the next 7 days, check out my Black Ops: Road To Commander Series, aptly named “preparing for Black Ops 2”.
See you next Tuesday ;0)
Copies of Black Ops II have started to crop up on eBay. If you’re looking to get an early copy expect to pay between £100 and £150. http://goo.gl/riQ6N
[…] to wait until the postman arrives, you can get a copy for a snip under £32 by taking advantage of this offer QuidCo are running in conjunction with Tesco Entertainment. That’s almost £15 less than anywhere […]
Scrap the above!
Tesco have confirmed that they will be selling Black Ops II for £25 when purchased in conjunction with a £25 PSN or XBOX live voucher. This is the same deal as last year and is only available if you are collecting at a midnight release.
Tesco have extended their “buy Black Ops 2 for £25 offer” until Sunday. Check it out here: http://goo.gl/DfSHK.
I tried to take advantage of this at the midnight launch but there was some kind of a system glitch which meant my local Tesco were unable to honour the deal. More on the launch day shenanigans here: https://gaming-headsets.co.uk/gaming-videos/black-ops-2-tesco-shenanigans-first-impressions/
