It’s 2019 and we’re back!

Once upon a time, I made mediocre YouTube videos. My channel was fairly small, with around 1,000 subscribers, although with my background in search engine optimisation I managed to pick up a few views here and there…

A combination of workload in my day job and a lack of organisation mean I haven’t posted anything to my YouTube channel in 6 years and, until today, failed to update this website in 4. Well, I’m pleased to say my life is much better organised so I’m now finding the time to sort out these little sidelines that were meant to generate a side income alongside my normal 9 to 5.

The whole point of this website was to make it easier to find a decent Gaming Headset. When I registered the domain in 2012, I had a Sharkoon V3 headset which was about the only 7.1 Dolby Surround Sound available for the Sony Playstation. From what I remember, this was just Tritton AX Headset rebranded for UK markets. In contrast, my playing partners from the US of A had an abundance of surround sound headsets to choose from.

As a side note it appears as though Sharkoon have discontinued their surrounded sound headsets and have opted to focus on cheap gaming headsets whilst Tritton still have a whole range of premium gaming headsets.

Anyway, back on topic. The ship has most likely sailed as I’ve gifted 7 years to competing websites to enter the market and establish themselves in the Google Search Results (there are probably other search engines but does anyone use them?) but I’m going to give it a go anyway.

Over the next couple of weeks I’m going to set-up an on-line store specifically for gaming headsets and spend some time trying to identify the best value for money gaming headsets as well as the best (money no object) surround sound gaming headsets. And yes, that paragraph was deliberately keyword heavy 🙂
