Every once in a while I like to try something random.

Why? Because this can happen:

A couple of days ago I was running around with the DSR-50 sniper rifle during a game of Hardpoint on Express. I spotted a guy on the UAV and didn’t have a clear shot, so I took a pop through a wall.

BAM. His reaction was priceless. 

Black Ops 2: How to wall-bang

For those who don’t know, any kill which comes about as the result of shooting someone through an object (usually a wall) is referred to as a “wall-bang”. Most of the time wall-bangs are used in the context of sniper fire but the term can be applied to all guns.

There is a huge element of luck with wall-bangs but that’s not to say there isn’t any skill involved. In the clip above I could see an enemy player on the UAV and simply aimed in his direction. The shot was made a little more complicated as I had no prior map knowledge and had to guess the change in elevation, but if you don’t try you don’t get!

Most of my wall-bangs happen when I get sight of a player as they are running behind cover. Aim ahead slightly and pull the trigger. Prepare to feel like a Call of Duty beast if you get the kill!
