Turtle Beach Ear Force Tango review by Jester548

To mark the launch of Black Ops 2, Turtle Beach have released 4 new “Ear Force” headsets: the Tango, Sierra, X-Ray & Kilo. In this post we take a look at the Ear Force Tango, which caught our attention when trying to answer the question “What is the best headset for Call of Duty: BO 2“.

Our resident YouTuber iKingOfHouse feels that the sounds in Black Ops 2 are a little muffled and believes serious gamers should consider investing in a headset which is specifically designed to accentuate key noises such as gunfire and footsteps.

The Turtle Beach Ear Force Tango has been developed in conjunction with Treyarch so we have high hopes for the in-built sound profiles. We’re trying to get our hands on a copy so we can bring you a detailed review based on actual Black Ops 2 experience. In the meantime, we will leave you with this review by Jester548 which covers the headset’s key features as well as some pro’s and con’s.

Jester likes the overall design, feel and ability to switch between sound profiles at the touch of a button (which sits on your left ear). However he doesn’t like the way the switching works when using the dual bluetooth feature, which allows you to connect the headset to a mobile phone and a gaming console. In theory you can switch from one to the other if you receive an incoming call but it doesn’t seem to work so well in practice.
