AVerMedia Game Capture HD – Christmas Capture Card Giveaway

Earlier this year I was lucky enough to receive a complementary Live Gamer Portable from the folks over at AVerMedia. In a nutshell (disclaimer: and in my own personal opinion) it is the best HD capture card available right now. The LGP is compatible with all of the major systems and, moving into 2014, will work with the XBOX One and the Sony Playstation 4*. It goes without saying that the LGP can record full HD, but it does so at a massive 60 MBps. Even better: you don’t have a meaty computer to run the capture software as it has a built in processor. No computer to hand? No problem: the LGP can record directly to an SD card, without compromising quality.

Anyway, to the point of this post: since I’m using the Live Gamer Portable to capture all of my gameplay, I decided to give my AVerMedia Game Capture HD away to one of my subscribers. It’s been used heavily for 12 months straight but it looks brand new. The unit itself is still in the protective plastic wrapping and the box is mint, as are all of the goodies that came with the device. The lucky winner will also receive an 80GB (I think – it might even be 160GB) internal HD as it serves no purpose to me if I take it out of the capture card.

I actually announced this giveaway several months ago but the video has stagnated at around 100 of the required 150 likes, so in an effort to give this away before Christmas 2013 I have changed the rules slightly. Guess the car I’m driving in this video and the winner will be picked from those who leave the correct answer in the comments the day I hit 1,000 subscribers:

* which, by the way, doesn’t appear to be arriving any time soon. Sadly, my speed order [watch it here] was a little too slow – I missed Sony’s cut-off for guaranteed launch day delivery by a whole month!
